Park City Oriental Rug Cleaning

More Than a Quick
In-and-Out Service.

High-quality Oriental rugs collect dirt deep inside their fibers quickly. Vacuuming barely touches the surface; the dirt closer to the bottom of the pile gradually damages the fibers and shortens the rug's lifespan. If you've ever dropped a book on a "clean" rug and watched a cloud of dust come up, you've seen it firsthand.

Our process begins with a comprehensive survey to identify your rug's fiber content and construction, including wool, silk, cotton, or synthetic materials, and whether it's hand-knotted or machine-woven, allowing us to clean it properly. Because rugs are removable, we bring them to our facility for the best possible results. That's where our specialized equipment and expertise are housed.

A Tip For Park City Homes

If you live in the Warren Township area with kids and pets, your rugs take a beating from salt and slush tracked in all winter long. That gritty residue doesn't just sit on the surface, it works down into the fibers and breaks them apart over time. A good cleaning once the snow melts can add years to your rug's life and keep it from looking dingy. Call (847) 951-9636 to get your rugs refreshed before spring really kicks in.

Rug Types We Clean

Every Origin, Every Design.
From Persian to Tibetan.

Our experience spans virtually every rug tradition across the globe. Each one requires the correct approach for its fiber type, weave pattern, and color chemistry. This is why beginning with a thorough survey matters.

Iran

Persian

The most renowned rug tradition in the world. Tabriz, Kashan, Heriz, Gabbeh — each weave density and dye palette gets matched to its own cleaning approach.

Anatolia

Turkish

Symmetric knots, bold medallions, often wool-on-wool construction. Built for longevity — cleans up beautifully with the right pH.

Caucasus

Caucasian

Tribal geometric patterns, coarser weave, deeply saturated natural dyes. Handled with care to preserve color and collectibility.

Central Asia

Turkmen

Distinctive "gul" medallions on deep red grounds, dense weave, often smaller sizes. Gentle washing preserves the patina.

Tibet

Tibetan

Senneh loop knot construction, often contemporary designs. Highland wool takes color beautifully — gentle chemistry keeps its sheen.

China

Chinese

Low-density weave, often with carved pile and silk detailing. Subtle palettes and classical motifs — always dye-tested before cleaning.

Afghanistan

Afghan & Baluch

Hand-knotted wool with tribal geometric patterns, thick pile, deep reds and blues. Sturdy heirloom pieces that respond well to proper washing.

Contemporary

Modern & Machine-Made

Hand-tufted and machine-made area rugs in wool, synthetic, or blends. Same fiber-appropriate care, thorough rinsing, and controlled drying as traditional pieces.

The Details

Why In-Shop,
And Why It Matters.

Tap to expand each section, or read it all the way through — every customer asks at least one of these questions.

A truck-mount wand can pass over a rug in your house, but that's a fast once-over. Surface-only cleaning doesn't cut it. Real rug cleaning requires dusting (literally removing embedded soil before any moisture contacts the pile), complete soaking and thorough rinsing, and time to dry flat without damaging the foundation.

Forty-five minutes on-site is not enough time to do the work properly. We collect your rug, bring it to our facility, and clean it the right way.

An Oriental rug is a signature design element. Keeping it looking right is partly aesthetics, partly investment protection. A real cleaning restores the rug to its original beauty, pulls allergens out of the foundation, neutralizes odors at the source, extends the rug's life by removing abrasive embedded dirt, and brings back the color and pile you remember when it was new.

  • Pulls allergens out. Dust and dander don't just sit on the surface — they live in the foundation. Cleaning the way we do removes them.
  • Neutralizes odors at the source. Pet urine, smoke, food. We get to the molecular level instead of masking on top.
  • Extends the rug's life. Embedded dirt is abrasive — every footstep grinds it deeper into the fibers. Removing it means less wear, more years.
  • Restores color and pile. The rug you remember when it was new — that's what's actually under there once everything else comes out.

Different fibers need different chemistry and different water temperatures. Wool isn't cotton, and silk isn't either. We assess the fiber content upfront to determine the correct pH and technique. Our solutions are family- and pet-safe throughout every cleaning application. No harsh residues left in the rug to off-gas in your living room later.

Most carpet cleaners treat rugs as an afterthought. We don't. We maintain a specialized rug-cleaning operation and we apply the same exacting standards whether the rug is a $200 area rug or a $20,000 antique. Family-owned in Lake County since 2016. Same crew, same care. Should you be dissatisfied, Paul conducts a personal inspection, we re-clean at no extra charge, and we guarantee your satisfaction.

Why Rug Cleaning
Matters for Park City Homes.

Living in Park City means your rugs work as hard as you do. Between winter salt and slush tracked through your home and the everyday wear that comes with family life in our community, your oriental rugs need more than a regular vacuum can handle. Professional rug cleaning removes the deep grit, salt residue, and moisture that damage fibers and create odors over time. Whether you're in the Warren Township area or along the Waukegan Township side of town, your rugs deserve care from people who understand how our climate and lifestyle affect them. Dirty rugs wear out faster and can trap allergens that affect your whole family. A good cleaning extends the life of your investment and restores the colors you loved when you first brought them home. We serve Park City residents from our nearby Lake Villa location at 72 Balsam Ave, making it convenient to drop off and pick up.
